About Selwyn Allen Funerals
Selwyn Allen Funerals, also called Selwyn Allen All Faiths Funerals, is a family-owned funeral business based in Mount Waverley in Melbourne's east. Selwyn Allen started it in 1998 after more than 30 years working for other funeral firms, and his son Geoff is now co-director.
Selwyn holds Life Membership of the Australian Funeral Directors Association and received the Master Funeral Director award in 2004, and helped found the Australian Institute of Embalming. The business uses only Australian-made coffins and caskets, and its restored 1958 Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire hearse is available for services.
One staff member looks after each family from the first call until after the funeral. Selwyn Allen publishes a full goods and services price list, and arranges religious and secular services, burials, cremations, eco-friendly burials and prepaid funerals.
